How to get a Syrian Visa?
You need to go through a licensed tour operator for a security clearance, which is required to obtain the visa at the border. This process usually takes about two weeks. Booking with our group tour improves your chances of approval in 2-3 days. The visa is obtained and paid for at the Syrian border. It's valid for 90 days from the issue date, allowing one entry for up to 15 days with a tour. Additionally, we will take care of the visa approval process through the agency when traveling as part of our group trip.
How do you travel to Syria?
The typical route is to fly to Beirut, then drive overland to Damascus, taking about 2 hours. We provide pickup and transfer from Beirut when you book with us. You can also cross the Jordanian border for a small extra fee. While flights to Damascus are possible to book, they can be unreliable.
Can I travel alone to Syria?
No. Independent travel to Syria is not possible. Since 2018, all travelers must go through a licensed tour operator to obtain a Syrian visa. This change was made due to security concerns and an incident involving a journalist. The new requirements include having a tourist guide, a hotel reservation, and transportation. You can't travel independently, and you must use the same passport you used to enter Lebanon or Jordan to enter Syria.
Can I apply for a visa at a Syrian Embassy?
A: Yes, but it's a lengthy process. You'll need to submit paperwork detailing your travel intentions and provide an invitation letter. This process can take up to two months as it involves applying for security clearance in Syria. It's much simpler to let a travel agent handle it. You'll also need a passport-style photo and a photocopy of your passport photo page, which you can send to us, and we'll manage the rest. Additionally, visiting Syria disqualifies you from using the ESTA visa waiver program to enter the USA.
